Well, I am so incredibly pleased to announce that an image that I entered into the county fair took:

                                                 Best In Show

I'm doing a little happy dance over here if you can't see me <waits for the music to stop>.

This was a really interesting experience for me as I found it surprisingly challenging to enter my personal work (as opposed to work that I create for clients).  I hemmed and hawed about entering- but finally decided that I needed to be brave and enter- what was the worst thing that could happen? Right?  So I took a deep breath and entered and am I wonderfully, humbly, proudly, embarrassed-ly, excited to say that I won!  I am *still* blushing- and floating on cloud 9.

So here is the photo- it took three ribbons- First place in class, Best in Division, and Best in Show :D                                               Zoinks!

If you haven't checked out the Fair- go - right now- go- it is a really amazing fair and the talent in the quilting, Fine Art, photography, ALL of the stuff that the kids enter- all of it  - is really spectacular.

Sisters- all so different

I recently worked with this family at a time when they are in transition- one daughter on her way to college, one starting high school, and one in the midst of high school.  These girls are all so very lovely in their own right and so *incredibly* different from one another.  This session was really neat for me because, even though they are all so different, you can just feel the connection and love in this family~  really wonderful people.

And of course, we cant forget this little one :D
