Sisters, laughter, and booty

These girls and their mom came in for a session to celebrate their relationship.  Portrait sessions can be a wonderful way to mark an instant in time; sometimes they magnify all the dynamics that are happening in a family, and sometimes, just sometimes, they offer a respite from the craziness of life and create a moment to experience love, joy, and laughter.

Sisters

None of these gals *wanted* to have their portraits created- but each of them were able to relax (well mostly ;) ) and there was so much laughter by the time that we were finished- I know that my sides hurt from laughing so much!

And, no I am not going there with the booty images- you will just have to wait to see those.  :D

Surprises

I have had so many wonderful sessions this last month, but many of them are shhhhhhh surprises for the holidays so you will have to wait for their debut on my website after the holidays!  :)

Boys Boys Boys

What an incredible family!  These strikingly beautiful mom and dad are surrounded by all these beautiful boys.  These kids were so much fun to work with and in true Santa Cruz fashion, we learned that we had more connections than just our portrait session :)

Meet B. Obviously he found me wildly entertaining, either that or just plain silly.  He is one of those kids who you can *just tell* is watching and taking everything in.

Next in line is Mr. B. He is a really fun kid with a  smile that just melts your heart (wait till you see it mom and dad!).  He was a little, well, I don't know, maybe nervous or maybe just in a chatty place, but he told me these amazing stories-  and do you see the bird that he was making with his hands?  Isn't that just the cutest?

And then there is this incredible little M.  He was so happy to have some time just with mom and I.  He was bouncing all over the bed and cracking us up.  And what a darling smile!

Big Brother

I was so excited to photograph this family again!  The older sons' image that was on display at  A Mother's Place received so many compliments!  I feel so lucky to be able to watch my clients grow.  I love this family- there is so much joy and laughter  (as well as the craziness that comes with two young boys) but you really can feel how much these parents love these kids.

The mom was nervous about her younger son's stranger anxiety and I let her know that I completely understood and that I would give him time to get comfortable.  Well in true Silveira Photography Portrait Session Fashion.... HE was the easier one to capture and the older brother was all over the place.

Meet Little D.  He loved his bo-bo (soccer ball)

And here is his big brother T. cracking up at something crazy that I said.

T. is a wonderfully patient big brother and I was so impressed how great he was with his younger brother.  Good job mama and papa!

Expectations

When this mom contacted me about a session for her three year old twin boys and her six month old daughter (did you just hear the other photographers reading this blog ...gasp?), I advised her to have low expectations, and to just be pleasantly surprised at what we got.

I think that this mom is fearful that the entire session looked like this:

and, well, part of it did (but I kinda like that image anyways), but I also captured some of this:

(Don't you think that this mom should be a model?)

J. was not into the session- which really is OK - but I still got some great expressions from him

and the other J. was my buddy from the get- go

And we can't forget spunky Miss L. who is constantly watching and learning from her big brothers (watch out for her- she is going to give you a run for your money)

And don't worry mom, I was able to get a glimpse into the boy's relationship.
