Run For My Money

This was a last minute session for a dad who is deploying.  M.  I wish you a safe journey, and a safe and speedy return home. 

This 7 month old cutie has a big smile and in the blink of an eye she will be chasing that brother of hers down.

So this mom warned me that her 2.5 year old son *might be* tough to photograph.  Well, let me tell you this kid made me pull out every trick in the book that I have- and even some tricks that I didn't know I had :).  He certainly gave me a run for my money- but I did manage to get some wonderful expressions from him.  This is a more somber image- but just LOOK at these stunning eyes!

And I adore his impish grin in this one.  So, is he inviting me in, or locking me out ?--- I'll let you decide...

And here is a playful family image that really sums it up for me-Mom and Dad laughing, son cracking up and daughter saying "I'm outta here!"

And yes, mom- I did get some beautiful smiling images of your son, but you will have to wait to see those.  :)

Hawaiian Dancer? Or maybe Thai dancer?

This little beauty had the most adorable little face, she made the sweetest expressions, she is the kind of baby that just makes you, just, just, just want to squeeze her.  But what I loved most about her is she told me these detailed and gorgeous stories with her hands- it was like she is a Hawaiian Hula dancer or a Thai Khon dancer- it was captivating.  Her mom is a pretty special woman as well- we talked a lot about birth in our culture and it was a very thought provoking conversation for me.  Thank you L. for sharing your stories, and I am so grateful that you trusted me with capturing your sweet little dancer.

So content, so sweet

This brand new baby was so content during our session.  He comforted really quickly, and his mom and dad were so wonderful to hang out with.  He has these really beautiful eyes and definitely has his dads lips :)  Welcome to the world little C!
